To start your portrait, just fill out the form below

Once your form lands in my inbox, I’ll email you to request a few photos of the person or pet you’d like drawn. (Having several ready is helpful — it lets me choose the one that will translate most beautifully into a portrait.)

You’ll find a guide to choosing great photos at the bottom of this page.

Payment is easy: Venmo, PayPal, or checks, with an invoice available upon request. A 50% deposit officially saves your spot, and the remainder is due before I ship your finished piece.

Please note that portraits of people are now head/face compositions only (unless otherwise approved). For pets, full bodies are always welcome!

WHICH PHOTOS WORK BEST

A good reference photo makes all the difference in creating a portrait that truly captures your loved one. The clearer and more detailed, the better — but don’t worry, you don’t need to be a professional photographer. A few tips can go a long way:

ANGLE: A slightly turned or 3/4 angle usually works beautifully — it gives depth and shows form. Side views can also be charming.

LIGHTING WITH CONTRAST: Look for photos with clear light and some shadows — highlights, contrast, and dramatic light make a portrait feel alive. A strong light source coming from one side is ideal.

MAKE SURE THE WHOLE HEAD IS IN THE FRAME: Make sure your loved one’s whole head is visible. Cropped heads can be tricky to work with.

EXPRESSION: Natural, relaxed expressions that capture personality are best! Candids are wonderful.

AVOID: Selfies, heavy filters, blurry shots, blown-out lighting, or big areas of deep shadow.
